Four Parishes Arts Society - June 2003

Mr Steadman gave us a very interesting talk on the Restoration of Wilton House which was carried out from 1988-1993. Unlike the Windsor Castle and Uppark repairs, which were carried out as a result of disasters, this project was to repair the ravages of time to a building which was started in 1543. The detailed talk with slides was an excellent preview to the visit to Wilton House which takes place on Tuesday 10 June at 11.00 a.m.

At the meeting members were able to reserve places for the outing "Hidden London" on 2 September.

The Summer Exhibition is at Quarley Hall on 8 June from 10.30 a.m. - 4.00 p.m. There will be a wide range of exhibits including crafts, greetings cards, woodturning, sculpture and children's art in addition to watercolours and oils. Light lunches and drinks will be available. - PMG
